We sincerely and tenderly love Teresa and her cafe. The food is so delicious, that it’s almost cathartic, we’re practically obsessed with it. But what is even more important is Teresa herself- always welcoming, passionate about her guests and their experience, and so heartwarming. Just look at this special gift for a cat that she made when she heard that I’m heading to a cats birthday party! Everyone deserves a cannoli, so she made one for the cat. So cute 🥰🥰
Cute little cafe! They rerouted the sidewalk path so they could have outdoor seating. All the cement barriers are painted with murals. Very amazing cappuccino, I'll be back.
Love this place, every time I’m in town, I have to stop. Theresa is a real joy and we will be definitely coming back for dinner soon! Last two times I came in she made me breakfast not even knowing what I want and it was both times delicious!!

MUST VISIT. Theresa was an incredible host and chef. She hosts only a few families an evening and we were so lucky to experience it. Wow, incredible evening and culinary adventure. We will be back soon! Every bite was 10/10.
Teresa’s Cafe Avellino is a fantastic spot for some authentic Italian food in the North Shore area. We visited on a gloomy Sunday but the food and drinks served just changed the whole atmosphere. The pasta was incredible, the lemon drop style martini incredible, the cannoli incredible. I mean seriously, you have to go there. Don’t go by the size of the cafe but go for the food and the amazing service by Teresa. If you’re smart enough, you’ll get your date to this place. It’s a hidden gem!
Just go. It’s more than dinner, it’s an experience. The food is incredible but Teresa is a gem. You’ll feel right at home and Teresa makes everyone feel special. Cafe Avellino will be our first stop when we come back. We came for the food but we’ll be back for Teresa (and the food because we’re not dummies!!). (I didn’t take many photos of the food because I was too busy shoveling it in - it’s that good!) What a treasure Avellino is for Swampscott.
It was like being over a friend's house for dinner. A friend whose a damn good cook. She cooks...you eat, simple. Teresa is a terrific host, fabulous cook, with the greatest sense of humor. Fellas, if you want to take your girl out for a fun, old fashion, but at the same time unique dining experience to remember, you'll love Café Avellinos. There's no menu, like I said, she cooks...you eat. You'll love it.
OMG this was the best night out. My son & I decided to stop & eat instead of sitting in traffic on our way home. He had heard about this restaurant & how the atmosphere was very laid back. Well, you walk in and you feel like you entered someone's home. You were welcomed like you were a long lost friend & ready to rekindle lost memories and to make new ones. You ate what she prepared and the authenticity of the food, preparation, presentation and comradery of the owner made this a go to place for anyone looking for that personal touch and just a great place to feel at home while away from home. Teresa will make your evening a night to remember. This was our first visit but not the LAST! Looking for an intimate & memorable place to take your sweetheart?
